Africa Dream Foundation arises in 2004, when a group of Chileans dream of improving the living standards of their fellow Africans, by recovering the most valuable parts of their culture and learn from them.

Community work is our main goal. This way volunteers can go and provide their skill and talents in different professional and knowledge areas and, at the same time, bring back to Chile the cultural wealth of the African people, their sense of community, friendship and their understanding and connection with nature. Thus, out volunteers can be a greater contribution to our society once they are back in Chile.

Our birthplace is in Sichili Zambia, near the LOZI. This place opened its doors for us and taught us the best possible way to operate in this continent. Our first volunteers made a home out of this distant place and it was here where the dream of moving onto other places in the continent was born.

We look forward to building a better Africa and to achieve our mission, we send human capital who, through ability, cooperate to enhance the living standards of our fellow Africans.

Construir un África mejor, cooperando desde nuestras capacidades para mejorar la calidad de vida de nuestros hermanos africanos, a través del envío de capital humano para lograr nuestra misión.

What we do

Through the constant presence of our Chilean professional volunteers, we give sustainable social help to the African society by being directly involved with communities; by being respectful, valuing and reinforcing the local cultural dimensions, providing mutual learning and a space that was built in community. Our volunteers contribute with their skills and talents in different professional and knowledge areas like agriculture, health and education fields. By doing so, they come back to the Chilean society enriched with a diversified view, prepared to become agents of change in their respective fields of professional development and to cooperate in the development of a sustainable society.
